It depends on your policy. Most insurance policies include named drivers whilst others may include ‘any driver’ over and up to a certain age. Your insurance company would require information about your drivers especially their age, driving experience and claims history. As a result you have to ensure that anybody driving your vehicle has been added on your policy as a named driver otherwise you will personally have to cover any loss or damage in case of an accident. In addition, it is a legal offend to allow people to drive your vehicle without having insurance.
