What information shall I give when buying insurance?

As a general rule all information required for insurance purposes are included in the Insurance Proposal. You will have to ensure that all your answers to the Proposal form questions are true and correct. Even if there is no such question make sure you have not missed to disclose a material fact that would have affected the decision of the insurance company to approve or reject the risk or they would have applied special terms. Since your answers are the basis of the insurance policy you are taking the risk of being uncovered by not disclosing the correct information! Two more tips:

  • Do not sign an incomplete Proposal Form or if any of the information is not correct.
  • When there are corrections on a Proposal Form put your initials next to them.
