The documents you will receive include the terms and conditions and the Schedule of Insurance. All insurance policies that are required by law include a Certificate of Insurance. Read the Schedule of Insurance carefully since it contains all the details of the insurance valid in your case. Make sure that the Schedule includes all you have discussed and agreed with the insurance company.  Then read the policy booklet in order to have a full picture of the insured events as well as any additional cover that might be included such as additional benefits, excess amount (if any), terms and conditions as well as exclusions and compare it with the Schedule of insurance in order to confirm which are valid in your case and which are not.
